Orlando airport is MCO. Sanford is cheaper to land at but is a half hour away depending on traffic. More choice of flights at MCO. We try to find one arriving early and leaving late so we stretch out our actual vacation time.
Orlando international airport(OIA) I've never flown fr Sanford airport but its in the opposite side of town. The main airport is OIA

Orlando is closer but you can get much cheaper flights out of Sanford through Allegiant Air
