I’m already ADA certified,been riding Paratransit since 2001 in NORTHERN California. I just moved here and need the PARATRANSIT SEREVICE... I was riding “EAST BAY PARAYRANSIT” IN California, I need help.

I downloaded the application forms, filled and mailed to them without calling. Will they respond or I ought to have called first before mailing?

When I tried to get this they said I had to go to Phoenix for hours, then prove I could walk a half mile on my own. If I could do that I wouldn't need their service!

In addition to marcies response they will provide you with a paratransit ride to and from the mobility center for your appointment/interview once it is scheduled

Call the Valley Metro Disability Service office. They will take some information and send you an application. You fill out the application and send it back to them. They call and set up an appointment for you to come in and be evaluated and then they inform you of their decision by mail. It's a lengthy process. If you have a letter from CA that might work for you here... At least temporarily. Doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck!!
