You can do it.
To get a copy of your title, you need to fill out an Application for a Certified Copy of Title (Form VTR-34), have your release of lien, then make an appointment at your local DMV. You'll need your drivers license or photo ID as well. You can get all this info at TXDMV.GOV.
Go there and is the car in your name if so with your id. And insurance they should give it to you but you have to make an appointment online
