Most clinics open at 8 am Mon-Fri. However, you MAY need a referal from a doctor in the EMERG ROOM, not certain. Appointments for clinics sometimes take months due to so many patients. Therefore I would suggest you start in the ER which is open 24/7. You need to be a Cook County resident to get on any of their assisted pay programs. If you do not have your own health insurance, they DO have a program called "County Care" for most patients!

I agree with JIM. You need a referral and that can be gotten from the ER. Also, the Psych clinics are in Provident and Austin clinics

You have to get your own health insurance and then take the other necessary steps to see someone in mental health at Stroger.
