Wouldn't take my divorce papers showing I no longer one the vehicle. Now want to charge me $700 in tolls and fees for a vehicle I no longer own . And yes the dmv is aware I no longer own the car. Tollroad is a private agency they only care about dollars. My court signed documents should've been efficient.
Terrible customer service. I have had my toll tag for several years and recently received a toll bill by mail. I believe they are attempting to charge me twice. Charging my toll tag and also a mailed bill. Customer service was a waste of time and very frustrating.
Usually when you're going through a divorce though your brain is pretty much scrambled eggs going through everything else
If you lost the car in the divorce you should have immediately went to the dmv and had your name taken off the title.
I'm late to this forum. However, I was wondering if you got the car title transferred at the time of the divorce. In many states a court decree for property does not exempt or preclude the parties from transferring titles/ownership through the states mandated protocol.
