Depends on several things. More than three miles away from any registered rc airport. More than 5 miles from regular airport as long as you fly below 400 feet. And last but not least gas powered aircraft are not allowed in public parks only electric.
Open grass space, yes; however, there are several after school activities on a daily basis.
Guess it would depend on your skills. I couldn't fly one there... Lol. There is ample room but there are many houses / backyards along the east northeast side of the park.
