They are charging $30 for all of October. Not free, but much more manageable.

Here's what I found on their website: Dogs and cats are $60. Horses are fair market value. All other animals are half the market price. A special reduced fee of $30 will apply for animals in some circumstances including being in the adoption program for more than two weeks, pets 4-years-old and up, two or more pets adopted together, pets adopted during promotional events and pets with certain medical conditions.
