TONS of photo opps! They just installed the Butterflies this past week, and i got some excellent shots of those. Bring a macro lens and wear a brightly colored shirt to attract them and you'll be in bliss, i promise! The koi pond, the orchids - all are photogenic. Have fun!
They have the orchids now and they are besutiful as well as the Chiluly blown glass display!!....
There were butterflies already on March 3rd, we got beautiful photographs. the Chihuly glass is year-round. the parrots are there year-round. the different climates offer great opportunities. I would go any time of year. the Tulips will be starting soon, you certainly may want to coordinate with the blooming of those.

Butterflies start march 10 and I think the orchids on display just ended on March 4th. Good luck photographing the butterflies! They don't sit still for long.
No butterflies at this time but always plenty to photogragh. Bring that macro lens.
Plenty to photograph with exotic plants interspersed with Chihuly glass sculptures from the Ameriflora exhibit back in 1992. All still beautiful!
Didn't see any butterflies but they had a Chuley exhibit and a orchid exhibit. Certainly lots to photograph.
There is a lights display from November to januarary 15th.
I agree with everyone else! You should take lots of pictures of the flowers and butterflies!
