I grew up abused and told that I was meaningless and most recently before my mother passed my brother told me if he didn't get everything when mom passed that I might come home and find my wife and daughter dead I have no desire to be anywhere near them.
Contact the district office and ask them. Or have your district supervisor do it. But the plot mom bought might be near other family members, something to consider
