i bought a mini cooper in march. I would like to know if i can drive my car in Rochester when it is snowing. Do I have to buy snow tires ? Thank you

Snows are always a good ideas. Your driving skills are more important. So like me the first good snow take it to a large parking lot. Hopefully empty. Take through its and your paces. If your not comfortable you need snows. If not try it for a while. Don't over drive your car. I just got mine 2 months ago. I know folks who drive all winter 45 miles each way and don't have snows. I have a friend who drives 2 miles and better have snows. So got check yourself

I have a Clubman and my husband has a MINI Cooper and we both use snow tires.

I have owned a Mini Cooper and now a Countryman. Both have been great with good all season tires. But if you want snow tires, by all means if it makes you feel safer.
