At your home departing airport, specify to the ticketing agent to check your luggages straight through to you designation airport in China, that way you don't have to worry about them until at your final destination.
Due to some construction/improvememts at O'Hare some flights may be rescheduled to earlier or later in the day. Other flights may be cancelled on short notice. Food and Beverage Vendors may have service disruptions at times. Maintain close contact with your carrier for updates as they happen.
