There are five tours.....a tour takes about 45 minutes. You can walk the grounds after a tour..... you could take as long as 2 days or just a couple hours.
I'd plan on at least 5 hours if you are doing 1 tour. And 7 if 2 different tours. There is a lot to see before and after your tours!
After many visits throughout decades, we still dedicate at least 4 hours minimum when accompanied with first-time visiting friends or family. We take the grand tour, circle the castle grounds after the tour and view the 45 minute documentary last. Multiple tours is highly recommended when visiting this remote shangri-la. We thoroughly enjoy every minute spent at this magnificent paradise. Very well worth the price of admission.
Take the $125.00 tour you see everything I will do that tour next trip the only disappointment was I saw a lot of detail work that needs to be done. Exposed rebar where the original cement has flaked off and needs repair you would think with the amount of revenue the place brings in the state would be on top of that I think I'm too detaile oriented. I think Mr. Hearst would be upset about the condition because he was very detaile oriented and you can see that in the way he built the place. That's fine just my opinion but it's definitely worth going to see. RD

One tour cost 25$ for adult For kids 12.5$
2 full days. If you go for just 1 day book 2 tours and that will give you time to look around the gardens
