I have caught a lot of trout there Barney Schwartz Park but make sure you have two have a fishing license
Fishing is definitely allowed at the pond, and is frequently fished. If you go there at daybreak on a weekend you will see several fishermen. In fact, the game warden comes by on a semi regular basis to check for licences. There is a kids fishing event put on by the city coming up in April I believe.
Kids are allowed to catch and release fish. Good fun.

I have never seen anyone fishing there. Kid's come a feed ducks and watch the turtles.
There is a pond to fish...with ducks there also...people are always there. ..
