My 18 yr old granddaughter wants to visit us in SC from Philadelphia. I can buy her ticket and pay for her baggage on line. She’s never flown before. She has a drivers license. She does not have a credit card. Is there anything we need to know?

All she need is her printed ticket info and her ID... If she take a carry-on luggage, make she there are no unauthorized items in it... Cash is Ok if she would like to purchase items at the airport ... it she would like to purchase items on the plane... she would need at least a debit card... Also ... make sure the check-in luggage is not over weight or she will have to pay an additional charge ... if there is an additional charge... she may have to pay with some type of card being that some airlines at the ticket counter does not accept cash

Make sure she has documentation of everything you paid for and that her baggage is not overweight/oversized. Also, since she is 18, she could have a card and it might not hurt to have in case of an emergency. Does she have transportation to the airport? If she is parking and shuttling over, she will need money. Unless she gets dropped off by friends/family she may need to pay to get herself to thr airport. She should also have a copy of her documents kept separately in case something gets lost.
