I am currently in FL and am flying to PHIL Dec 10th, 2020. I'm afraid that the airports are going to shut down due to COVID-19. Should I leave sooner? What are the chances of them closing the airport?

I think you will be fine there is no way the airports will shut down. They can't if they want to keep in business, you should be fine.

To close airports it is needed a national shutdown that is not happening (at least not during this Administration). It hasn't happened at all and I doubt it will happen. Also, although Philadelphia has guidelines requiring travellers to PHL to bring Covid-19 tests or quarantine for 14 days, the truth is that, up to last night, they are both self enforced. No authority is currently enforcing them

Yeah, 10th December is a bit late. Its risky to wait till that time. With all this chaos they are definitely going to shut down domestic flights. I wouldn't wait.
