My mother-in-law is 94 yrs old and a member of Doylestown Health. She lives at home & has not been able to get scheduled to receive the vaccine. She registered with the county weeks ago. What else can we do to get her the vaccine?
Hi Corinne, thank you for your question. Doylestown Hospital and Doylestown Health are limited in our ability to offer vaccines during this 1A phase of distribution beyond our network and primary service area. Allocations of the vaccine are determined by the PA Department of Health. We are also restricted by the human resources required to administer the vaccine to the growing number of healthcare workers outside our service area seeking immunization. We are currently focusing our efforts for those who meet the 1A criteria established by the DOH in the following zip codes: 18901, 18902, 18914, 18925, 18929, 18938, and 18976. If your practice is outside the above area codes, we suggest you contact the hospital nearest you or your Department of Health.
The hospital is contacting practices in the immediate surrounding zip codes to offer eligible HCPs the vaccine. I would recommend contacting Doylestown (or the closest local hospital) directly.
