You can go as a walk up. Get there about 30-45 minutes before they open. If you can, go an hour early, that would be best, it would minimize your chances of waiting 4 hrs like I had to do.
I went as well and no appointment was needed you just need to walk in and bring ID
The odd thing is that when you call, there's an automated message saying that appointments are not necessary. The message continues by saying the number is for general information or for at-home testing for those who can't go to the site themselves. They always ask if you have an appointment however. If you tell them you don't, they take your name and number and will call you when they're ready to take you.
