Brian did a great job. Came out to my house on Sunday, and was able to get my generator up and running. Awesome job!!!! Thank you Brian

Brian, has been nothing but Helpful to my ALF Business and I. As a starting Business, there were so many things that I didn’t know about my Fixed Generator. But Brian did a great job at giving step by step instructions on how to properly power it on. He gave Grade A Service. I would definitely recommend Portable Generator Services to anyone.

Brian did an excellent job repairing our generator. He also informed us on how to maintain it after hurricane season. We strongly recommend him

What an amazing company! Brian and his team were fantastic. They were able to fix two of our generators and get the bigger one connected to our house. He answered all of my questions and walked me through all the steps to connect, start, and run it a couple times. Then he emailed us directions again so we wouldn’t forget how to use it when we need in the future. He went above and beyond for us and is even coming back out to convert our generator to run off of our natural gas. I highly recommend this company!

6 documented years as a generator technician, many certificates - I am ALWAYS LEARNING
Yes I am industrial trained and work on hospitals, data centers, nursing homes, to commercial buildings, and residential homes.
Yes, during hurricane season i strictly stay doing generators because I am just too busy to take on other work.
random luck, worked for a generator company doing only the electrical side of things, and they cross trained me on the service and maintenance of stand-by generator systems
There is a website/company called century fuel products who has special kits for your generator brand, I install it which is an adapter that goes right behind the air filter box, the adapter has a threaded hole that has a barbed fuel fitting attached, that's why you connect the lp hose which is fed from your propane tank. I also have to mount the regulator which is simple and is two bolts. Call or email me for any questions
Yes. It’s 250 for me to fix your generator. And that includes the complete service also.
Make sure you have fuel with stabil added. Make sure the generator is functioning and producing power. Do a test to make sure you are hooking up correctly and everything is working how you want.
Pure luck. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. My mom was like your doing something. She found info about trade schools and told me to pick one (hvac, electric, plumbing, welding). I loved electrical and so I chose that. Originally was going to be a residential electrician and luckily got the opportunity to work on generators and fell in love and excelled.
I completed and graduated top of class in the 4 year electrical apprenticeship program. And have worked hands on with generators for 6 years. I gained valuable experience in all aspects of the industry which many businesses lack. I have experience installing generators, maintaining Portable Generators, troubleshooting. I have experience in residential, commercial and currently work for an industrial dealer.
The reason for needing to start your generator monthly are not what most customers assume. It is not to keep the battery charged (Portable generators do not have a DC alternator to even charge the battery) - only way to keep your battery charged is with a battery charger / tender installed and used when the generator is not being used. The reason for starting your generator monthly is because gasoline starts to break down, and it creates a very thick / tar-like substance called VARNISH. That varnish will clog the carbuerators main jet / fuel solonoid, and even fuel lines. The misconception in this whole topic is, starting it monthly wont even help you because Example: Generator has 10 month old gas, you start it monthly. The gas is still old and continously breaking down. So at some point even when starting it monthly, the varnish will coat and clog the small main jet on ur carbuerator.
Unfortunatly what your dealing with is 9 out of 10 times a dead battery. The first question I always ask my customers that are dealing with this situation is, How old is your battery, some may say 2 years, some may say 1 year, some even say they just replaced it 5 months ago.... I then ask, Do you have a battery charger / tender hooked up to it when it is not being used? 9 out of 10 times they say "I was never told I needed that". If your generator has a battery. No matter what you need to use a battery charger / tender at all times while the generator is being stored , not being used. If you dont, your battery will always die extremely fast... Cars have a DC Alternator that charges the battery when it is driving, that is why they dont need a battery charger / tender... the only case a car would need one is if the car does not get driving weekly or monthly. Your generators battery should be lasting just as long as a typical car / truck battery.... which is around 3-5 years...
We hear this a lot, no regular companies will service portable generators because they say that its not worth the time, and don't make enough profit to do it. Lawn mower shops also suck , like you said they either charge you 100$ or more pick up fee, 1 way, then make you wait 2-3 weeks for them to fix it, and they charge even more.... Don't worry, you can depend on us; we didn't get ALL 5 star reviews for nothing, WE DO 5 STAR WORK.
We are available on Saturday and Sunday, We do not guarantee a certain time appointment, just that we will get to you, the reason is we can be so busy that we might have 6-8 stops on a Saturday, and Sunday also.... We start at our furthest customer and stop by each customer that is the next making our way back home. We will be able to call you in the morning when we see where our starting point is. Thank you for your understanding.
We accept: Check, CASH, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App. Unfortunately we do not accept credit cards.
That is correct, our address is not a store, its strictly to be able to create this page which allows you access to get the help and service needed. We are strictly mobile, we drive to your location so that you do not need to transport your generator. We have expanded recently and cover from Miami all the way up to Jacksonville. We also cover from Naples all the way up the coast to Tampa area. Just give us a call.
Owning a portable generator is for the most part a LUXURY, if you could buy a generator and never have to do any maintenance on it, we wouldn't be here right now looking at this question. Portable generators to stay reliable especially during our florida hurricane seasons, every year they should be checked fully. So besides buying the portable generator, calculate 250$ every year for proper maintenance.
We only work on portable generators smaller than 19KW because 1. We do this part time during hurricane season, we do not have time to set up contracts (Nor do we want to) Contact your local generator dealer please. 2. We have family that are dependent on electricity at all times, and with that being said, we know that many other families are in the same situation. So during hurricane season we like to be available to help our local communities be prepared in case we get hit by a hurricane. 3. Working on anything larger will put us very close to being in competition with our main full time job, and we respect the rules of not being in competition. They do 20KW+, we do 19KW and lower. Thanks for your understanding.
Sometimes we need to order something that isn't extremely common, depending on how far you are, we usually don't charge more, we would complete the full service (Oil, filters, carb clean, all of that) and charge u 125 for that, then we will order your part and u will pay the other 125$ which will add up to 250 and we will provide u the receipt / price of the part which u will pay us for.
