Dog are not allowed on the beach. Security will ask you to take your dog off the sand. Park employees will ask you to take your dog off the beach. There is an unofficial dog beach by the dog park. To the east of the real beach. Many dogs swim other places besides the beach with no trouble.

I have personally brought my dog to swim there and didn't have security stop me at all. I didnt see security there last year when I brought her to swim and I let her swim to the side of the ropes where people swam.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach; only read this review and had to leave the lake. Not 100% sure if they’re technically allowed to swim at the lake as a security guard was there to stop us.
