This was the worst experience of my life. The nurse we had as great but the whole thing was out of his control. For almost 10 hours we had no medications to give my dying grandma for comfort. We also had to have someone leave her side to go pick up the medications from the pharmacy OURSELVES. Families need to know the situation with this hospice before they pick it. As a RN who has worked at hospitals and in ICU, I have never seen anything quite like this and was so excited to have my grandmother on hospice. Please families I beg you, do not go through what my family encountered as we had to watch my grandmother suffer for so long without the help of hospice who is suppose to be there 24/7. Never ever would I wish this on my worst enemy. DO NOT GO WITH THIS HOSPICE PLACE. Research different places and ask them when medications will be available to assist your loved one during their time of death. Thanks.

Our family were blessed to have Avalon Hospice help with the final days of our father. The nurses, chaplain, and even the director took an active part to make sure he was taken care of. Their compassion and professionalism was top notch. I want to thank each one of them for all they did.
