The zoo will take about 4-5 hours of done at a leisure pace not really including mealtime if you so choose. The aquarium will take about 2-3 hours. Although they are close a technical close distance to each other, it is quite difficult to travel between the two because of parking and traffic. 2 days would probably be best. After the zoo you're close to Magazine and the shops and eateries that are there. After the aquarium you're right outside the French Quarter and all that jazz. My experiences come from going with my wife and 4 kids. Hope this is helpful.
A couple hours for aquarium if you like to read everything & take it all in. You could spend all day at the zoo.
Zoo can take up your whole day
Couple of hours for both
The zoo maybe 4 hours to go through everything
When we have gone (three times in three years) we spent about three hours at the insectarium and butterfly house, the zoo is different- the first time we visited every pen, paddock, cage, and venue. That took almost seven hours to see it all. The next two times were different in that we didn't do all of it and spent time walking the Oak tree park and fountains. This was about four 1/2 hours. We didn't have any children and didn't stop to eat at the zoo. We also brought our own drinks (up to 28 oz.) which saved time and we spent about a half an hour in the gift shop in both places. If you have children (4-11) they have playgrounds inside and family friendly attractions. Yoy may want to bring panchos as storns can roll in unexpectedly. The Aquarium is about three to four hours, more if you watch the movies.
You could literally spend all day. I usually don't see everything at the zoo in one day. You go and explore until you get tired. Then you go back another day.
Open 10am to 5pm
Yea, two hours or so at the aquarium and three or four at the zoo.
You need at least two days to do both. In order to really enjoy and not kill yourself
About half a day to do both
