There is a $8 fee to enter Captree State Park. You can fish on the docks free and fish on the beach for free. If you have an Empire Pass you can use that instead of paying the $8 fee.

There is an entrance fee of $8.00. it includes parking and fishing from the lower or upper pier.. The fee is charged starting at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00pm. There are picnic tables, small beach by the upper pier, restrooms at both pier areaa and a bait and tackle shop near the lower pier. You can also fish the beach from the pier to the bridge. There is also the largest fleet of party or head boats on Long Island that fish for various species mostly May to December. There are half or full day. Bay or Ocean. Fees are charged. You still need NY state fishing permit which is free for NY state residents, you can apply on line.
