The check engine light or malfunction indicator light comes on when the on board diagnostic system (OBD2) sees a trouble code in the engine control module. Its best to have it checked ASAP, sometimes its a simple fix.
It can mean a multitude of things. Having tume ups (like oil changes) extend the efficiency, value and performance during any machines lifetime. If the light came on, I would believe that there might be a problem that left unattended may damage the future of your vehicle. The safest and best advice I can offer is.... Bring it over to Sunrise Tire and see Joe. He will get the Men on it and let you know what your problem is. Even if it's a faulty sensor... TRUST he will tell you that's all it is. Other than myself, Joe and those boys are the ONLY mechanics I personally trust or believe. Safe holiday. Kind regards, Mickey
