They have model trains on display in enclosed cases. They have excursions but they only have a limited amount of track, I think somewhere around 1 mile. For train excursions I suggest you look into the V and T railway. I think it goes from Carson City to Virginia City. Hope this helps.

The typical excursion trains are about a 15 minute ride near the museum, sometimes using the steam engine on busy weekends and holidays. They usually cost around $5 or so per person.
