Cost to just rent the mansion is around $7,000. That does not include your caterer which must be on the approved list. Go to: Eolia The Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park. Will bring you to a ct.gov site. Has listing of caterers. How to contact them should be somewhere on that site. Keep in mind it is not air conditioned and you have to dance outside under the attached tent. The Branford House Mansion on the grounds of UCONN at Avery Point is a better value. Was $5,000 to rent and it is air conditioned. You can dance inside! Sets up beautifully for a wedding...inside, or out. Branford House has wedding coordinators on site and are great to work with.

They also offer their outside amphitheater for weddings which costs a LOT less and have your reception elsewhere ( or maybe make it into a picnic there ?). You'd have to contact them to get the current price.

The rental fee of $5,100 includes exclusive use of the first floor of the mansion and south courtyard tent for 5 hours with an additional 2 ½ hours set up and breakdown. Purchase additional time for $1000 per hour to the midnight curfew. You do have to use their approved caterer's and they are SUPER pricey. Booking goes out over a year or two as well for Saturday's too.
