What are the buildings you can see out at sea from Belmar Beach? Some of my group thinks NYC (if true, which part?) others think it was a humongous ship.

I don't think any...all of NYC would be further then 18miles which is the horizon at ground level...maybe 20miles at+10 feet...but NYC is also in a bay and hidden by Sandy Hook. Look at a map and see how far out and north you'd have to be to see it.
