Can patients be allow to go out with family during the day?
I go see my Dad more now than when he was at home. That's hard if you live far away. But it is important that they know you still care & that are still in your life.. Stay connected
I agree with Constance's answer. It is very important for family and friends to visit often so it want make to adjustment so hard on them
As with any change in environment with the elderly it takes a couple of weeks for them to adjust. But the biggest factor in this adjustment period is the family working together with our staff they need to visit during this time in my opinion. I have seen too many family's just drop off n not come back for a long time and that is so sad it leaves the patient scared confused etc and of course in this sad situation it takes them longer to adjust in my opinion.
