One of the best spots for an unplanned trip. I've gotten lucky finding a location here
If you want a spot on the lake which is nice if you have kayaks, yes it does. We were there in July and it was full on the water but the other spots were nice too. There's a boat ramp which still gives you access to the water.
Yes, the 6 or so lakeside sites do, but there is always plenty of other good sites to use.
The lake spots fill up right away. We stayed in the inner spots and it was just lovely!
No. It does not fill up fast.
We camped there for the 4th arriving on Thursday and there were plenty of sights available. The lake sights always go first.
