Cabins were clean. Plenty of room. Laundry room was a bonus, however washers didn't spin out very well. The enclosed dog park was a bonus. Wish the office would open earlier in morning though.

The camp is perfectly located 20 minutes from Mesa Verde. The cabins were cozy at night and well vented for the hottest part of the day. Very dog friendly! Also the guest kitchen made a cookout very convenient. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at BV Overlook for 8 days, 5 of which were due to some mechanical problems with my truck. Staff were very helpful finding us a spot while truck was getting worked on. The staff as a whole was very nice which seemed norm for Buena Vista. Park maybe nicest park we have stayed at so far. Newly remodeled bathrooms. New playground equipment which kids loved. Lots of updates at the campsites and in the camp facilities. If you are in BV, should consider staying at BV overlook.

Very nice former KOA. Pay the little extra and get the sites or cabins with an awesome view. Sites 26 to 29. We were in 27. Elec and water but no sewer. Cabin #1 on the top of the hill or the yurt with the glass dome. Bring extra boards or levelers many sites are not level.

Most KOAs have policies around 24 or 48 hr limits for full refunds. Check the website.
They are not open year round
They had about 1/2 a dozen cabins if I remember correctly. But you'd have to call for availability. Loved this KOA. Very friendly staff, beautiful setting, close to town. Playground was decent.
