Why is it that Home Depot only gives military discounts two people that are active or retired. And does not give Military discount to veterans that have been honorably discharged from the Military.

I'm served in Vietnam USArmy. I dont see why a non government company like Home depot needs to give us a discount. The fact they do speaks to their love for our country.

I'd really like the answer to this myself. I've asked and they can't give me an answer. I have my VA ID, but because it does not say 100% disabled can't get the discount. ANY veteran who was in the service was willing to give their life. The discount should apply to ALL active duty and ALL veterans, not segregating some. LOWES does give all vets discounts btw. Take your dd214 in, they will put it on file and you just give your phone # when you check out. I was a home depot shopper for 25 yrs until I found this out. Now I shop lowes. And I do a LOT of purchasing for my business.

Why we get a discount who is away from their families for a year at a time. Who else sleeps in a fox hole, who else leaves their wife to take care 4 children on military pay checks. Who else gives 25 years to their county, not just a city. I appreciate the firemen. the law offices. Unless you have walked in the shoes of a Marine or our other forces you will never know the sacrifices physically, mentally and living conditions families have to live in. We were $5.00 away from getting free lunches for our kids on military. so we appreciate Home Depot for showing their appreciation

I'm sorry, I served in US Air Force 26 years Home Depot, I understand the question and don't except benefits like commander in chief,he should answer,pull his card to,if you're serious.or watch pay it forward or something, this involved a lot of power, thanks Home Depot, I checked at bike week army booth,about school benefits again w/high ranking military guy, I've had enough,but some really deserve it, hope that answers it. Again thanks Home Depot, great job and like pay it forward? a lot of young men lost limbs and $h, family, great job,,yes I'm eligible for bug spraying license school and stuff God bless,,
