As a person involved in this process right now, Carney does not communicate and there have been walls of silence when I have questioned why they substitute my selections with what they can buy more cheaply which ended up in me having a yucky brown roof instead of the gray I selected? If you want to know how ethical they are go check out the reviews section on their Facebook page - the dozens of 5-star reviews posted on December 5 by the rent-a-review mob.
