Hello, trying to plan a trip to where I can collect small seashells as I walk on the beach. Is collecting shells banned here? If anyone has information on a beach that is loaded with shells for the public to take around the area please let me know.

Federal parks are pretty serious about taking anything off their land so I would definitely call the visitor's office and find out what the rules are. I would also Google where you can go shelling in the area you are visiting that are free to enter and are not on Federal Land. If you can get over to the West Coast of Florida, Sanibel Island on the Gulf of Mexico is a great place to go shelling.

Not sure might be protected best choice is to call them and ask first. When it comes to possibly breaking the law and hefty fines I wouldn't believe a random person on the internet.
