Sure is, playa Linda is a no judgement zone. Just relax and enjoy yourself.
I'm local and I'll tell u that clothing is required anywhere before pier 11 ⚠️.. please don't spoil the local hangout by not knowing before u go (: the "nude beach" was never official. It's simply tolerated, but only at piers at the *very* end (12 & 13). If people start stripping down just anywhere it will upset the park rangers..

Absolutely, Apollo at lot 5 is the first nude beach my wife and I ever went to. Through the years we have met a lot of wonderful people there and a lot have become close friends there. When we were new we would walk further down the beach for more privacy.
Apollo #5 last beach, arrive early if going in morning. Spots fill up fast. If going in afternoon get there around noon, 1pm people from morning start leaving at that time. Apollo #5 isn't as crowded as Playa linda can be. People at those 2 beaches are friendly. We have made friends there. We have been to both, we prefer Apollo over playa linda, not alot of younger men creepin around and making you feel uncomfortable.
Lot 11 to 13 is clothing optional. Summertime hours extend to 8pm
Absolutely. Of you go the the north end (Apollo district) gonthe parking lot 5. If youre not lucky enoigh to snag a spot, then go back the lot 4 and just walk south abiut a 100 yards or so and enjoy the sun. Great beach and without a doubt one of my favorite places to go.
I think they should change closing hrs. Maybe 7pm summer time.. It's absolutely beautiful and more private.. Love to go there often
