Hahaha that's the most ridiculous thing. The firm doesn't mail you a check. Yours share is mailed directly to you, from social security dept. They can direct deposit if you have a bank acct. Definitely would've stopped pymt on lost check and it would've been delivered by registered currier (needing your signature and your ID)
