From the nearest parking the hike is approx 50ft to the start of the 350 steps that lead to the top of the rock. The steps and path are quite narrow in places, but well worth the effort, as the views are spectacular.
You can take a shuttle up to the base of it. The hike to the top is only 15 minutes - max. Its just elevation gain, not too long a distance so it depends how in shape you are.
About 30 minutes if there are few visitors
If you're in reasonably good shape about 15 minutes, it's about a 400 foot elevation change with stairs tes and some railings. The view is well worth the climb!
If you park at the base of it it's not long at all maybe 20 minutes but it really depends what kind of shape you're in.
About 20 minutes to half an hour
If you are already in the parking lot, its a 10-15 mins climb on the rock. During off-season crescent meadow road to the rock will be closed, those times you can park around Giant forest museum and walk to the rock. Thats 1.7 mile one way.
About 10 minutes
From the parking lot at the base of the hike, it is not a far distance to the top (half mile, maybe), but it is all uphill/stairs and narrow.
The hike begins at the base of the rock. It's a short climb up some granite stairs to the top. It only takes about 15 minutes. It isn't a difficult climb.
15 min approx.
