I believe there is a bus from Denver to Fort Collins. I do not know if it goes to the museum. Once in Fort Collins, you could take the Transfort bus to the museum area.
I ride the Greenway. Fabulous service!!
Two bus lines link fort Collins to Denver. Bustang and Greyhound. I think both stop a very close walk from the museum - Bustang definitely does. They also stop at the harmony transit center, but don't get off there. Of the two, Bustang is more comfortable, and less expensive. Both only have a few runs per day, especially on weekends, so check carefully (schedules online). Forget RTD. Fort Collins is not in the RTD district. Fort Collins is also served by Transfort for local busses and other lines connecting to Boulder, Loveland and Longmont, but Bustang and Greyhound are the only lines direct to Denver.
You can take the Bustang bus line from Denver to the Downtown transit center in Fort Collins, from there it's a two block walk to the museum.
Bus service is a nightmare. Call rtd and the museum for more info.
There's a pull around area that looks like it's for busses etc in front of the entrance
There is a transport from Denver airport called the "Green line" that will take people to their depot or your address destination, but there is a charge for these services
