There's so much to see. I advisenyohnwear good comfy shoes and plan to spend the whole day.
It's quite large. I would personally carve out 3-4 hours, depending how many exhibits you walk through... Ideally a whole day to truly enjoy each exhibit and each artwork alike.
If you can afford it in time and actually afford to get in, I'd recommend you break down the trips into a few days. The exhibits are vast and have a lot to offer a viewer, if you're going to spend the time and money to go there and see some of the most amazing works of art I think it would be sacrosanct to really enjoy what the museum has to offer.
O would recommend a whole day if you have the time.
It depends on your interest as there are veriety of collections like paintings of 13th century onwards, sculpture, architectural models, photography etc etc. Each section may take 2 to 4 hours to fully appreciate. It takes about three to four hours for a very casual glance
An easy 3-4 hours and you still won't see everything.
The art collection is substantial. I spent 4 hours in the museum and didn't see everything. You could easily spend a day in the museum.
