I live in Oregon & have run into the same calendar snags...it seems Covid emphasized this disappointment. Decades ago I become a National member...which I am gratefully able to pull off. This does not answer your question BUT allowed me to hook up w/the AIC's online classes. There are many other art museums Downtown..not the wide variety but possibly user friendly. This summer I went out to Glen Ellen & THOROUGHLY enjoyed the Frida Kahlo "Timeless" event. If you do enjoy wild life.. check out the Aquarium...those penguins are "arty" little guys/gals! They might alter your AIC disappointment w/ laughs that even Degas or Georgia O'Keefe can't inspire! There's always Millennium Park...and rent some ice skates....the Maggie Daley Skate Loop does the heart good! SALUD IN 2022!
I'm not local but have family in the area and agree with the above, it is too far away to know. If you have family/friends that are Chicago residents you met be able to score a couple of free tickets if they can check out one of the free passes from local library. Hope you enjoy your trip regardless.
Check the website, they were also going to begin proof of vaccination in January as well as pre-purchased tickets
Too far ahead to provide a definitive answer. Best to check their website on a regular basis and buy your ticket in advance. If you become a member of the institute you do get early access and beat queues
That's so far out.. But definitely hope things are back to normal by then. And currently u can go, u just need to purchase tickets in advance.
