Lol, I don't think you will see EVERYTHING in one visit. And if you try, you will not enjoy much. Take you time, and take it in. It's a special place, and it's worth your time. I would recommend that to go to their site and plan out a few exhibit to see. But you WILL get side tracked!
It depends on your pace. One entire day can cover a scan of the entire collection, but it may be better to spread your visit out in 2 or 3 days.
Do they have a audio to walk around ?....also any suggestions on where I could stay overnight today , since it's later in the day I would go when the art institute opens in the morning , and stay overnight tonight , I will be myself ...
Several days
I think it would take 2 to 3 days, six to eight hours a day, to see everything in detail. Each painting has a plaque that describes when it was painted, who it was painted by or drawn by, or Photograph by, or sculpted by, and a description of the work of art. We went last week and spent over 6 hours and saw less than a third of what we wanted to see. We walked almost 5 miles and still could have spent two more days there looking at the gorgeous art. Take your time, don't run through. Don't just see the most famous paintings, wander into the galleries and look at things you've never seen before. It's an amazing place. Two to three full days should be taken if you want to absorb and understand even the top layers of what the Art Institute has to show. Longer, if you want to look at certain pieces of Art in great detail.
I would say, one whole complete day. I was there for four hours. And still wasnt able to appreciate all of the displays, created by a lot of highly talented individuals.
It all depends on your motivations. If you want to see the most famous paintings you can do it in a day, but if you want to really take in the art works-- including the audio commentary on some art works-- it might take you 2 or 3 visits, which can also include special exibits.
To see everything currently on display in one visit would be hard to do. The impressionist paintings were great to see. if you try to see it all in one visit, it will be too much to absorb. Some art will excite. Some works you will be surprised by the size. it's fun. enjoy.
We had 4 hours and saw about half of the exhibits.
3-4 hours
Yes one day is enough time
To see every single thing in the museum it will likely take 3-4 hours at the least.
It depends how fast you go but plan on 2-4 hours
If u get there early u should be able to see all
