You can fish from the falls in the gorge upriver thru summer. Winter you can fish the falls downriver. From Gorge Parking to the horse bridge is a 3 mile walk, from the bridge you head upriver a further 2 miles till you hit the falls. Take plenty of water and a dry bag, you will be in the river for the majority of the upstream journey. Fishing downstream is a big fat fine so I would not recommend breaking the rules.
