A neighbor has lots of Meijer's canned tuna he purchased at Sawmill July 2008.(he marks lids with month & year). He gave this to his cats TODAY (tuna is stored where it's hot in summer--he has no air conditioner). Is this safe for the cats to eat?

I think that would depend on how hot it was where they were stored.

I don't think it's safe because it needs to be in cold place
