Leave the flat screen at home, but otherwise you will not have much of a problem. We paid a few extra dollars for a couple extra bags, but got the impression that even that was not necessary. That being said, if you have a whole uhaul of stuff they may charge you, esp if it's a weekend. Also, don't even think of opting for the "all natural" repellent. You will require deet.
Nah you'll be fine. Like the other response said, during the week is fine. I wouldnt bring a ton of stuff to lug: being Fire Island the whole concept is not to be tied down, just the essentials. Anything you bring over you have to schlep. Bring a couple of those wagons that people use for gardening. Since there id a boardwalk you can roll it the mile to the campsite. Also the restaurant and bar at Watch Hill had a fire last fall and not replaced. The only thing open there is a small general store/souvenier shop. Central are of Davis Park is a mile away on foot and the harbor store there is not cheap. Make sure you bring whatever food rations you need over on the ferry and yes bring any type of insect repellant you need, you will absolutely get eatan alive in thr late afternoon and night time. Even bring dryer sheets like bounce to rub on your skin. Moquitoes hate that. But mosquitoes only. The other bugs dont care.
No limit. Bring mosquito fogger and spray the bushes. Take 80% of the mosquitoes away
No limit and definitely bring mosquito repellent!!
Just came back from there and I didn't notice them having a limit. They usually have the people who are camping keep all their belongings on the bottom inside while the people stay outside of top. You also have to remember that now they have glamping so you don't need to bring as much if you're getting that kind of a campsite
If you're on a weekend ferry it will matter more. If you're traveling mid-week it shouldn't be a problem
We didn't. We had a cart and large cooler and four of us had bags.
