We do not turn away animals unless legally prohibited from accepting them. If you wish to surrender an animal our three locations are open everyday between 9am and 4pm. We do not have a time limit on how long we will hold an animal and an owner may call daily to check on the pet... if we are no longer able to hold the animal you will be advised and offered the option of reclaiming the animal. We are successful in placing over 90% of the animals that we get for adoption. You must have photo ID to surrender a pet.
Sorry Jaime I am not sure on this question. But I will agree with Lee D rescue or a no kill shelter. I believe Spca has a time limit on animals.
If you can, try a rescue or a no kill shelter first.
