Lol so much debate over a spare key. Just negotiate like youre at burger king and have it your way. After all, youre the one paying for it;)
On used cars it depends on how many were given back but you can negotiate them getting you a second one made

They make copies for car keys so if you are getting toyota car you should be getting at least 2 keys
they have to give you 2 keys use or new cars
New car comes with 2 keys at least.
Depends on how many were turned in by the original owner. You should always insist on two from the dealer.
