When you spread seed East west then north south do you set your spreader with half the setting, if not do you double the amount of seed you apply?

I always open my spreader full bore when overseeding.

No need to set at half the setting. We set the spreader at the recommended setting for the type of seed, then walk east/west and north/south. Since there are many types of spreaders, please follow the setting instructions that came with the spreader. If you no longer have the instructions, they can usually be found on-line. Also, seeds are different sizes, so follow the spreader's recommended setting for the type of seed.
