I have a spot on my left lung in the upper quadron and the doctors are wanting to do a resection. Is there a possibility of getting the Proton Beam Therapy? One doctor says I am a prime candidate for this. Can you give me more information?

Ruth I'm a patient and not a physician also I went thru IMRT and not Proton for prostate cancer. But in layman's term the big difference between the two is with proton the depth is adjustable IMRT is not.

I had proton therapy twice and had good luck with it

The Ackerman Center would be the only ones that could answer that. Good luck to you. ❤

I would recommend setting up an appointment with Dr. Ackerman's staff. For something this major, would not have anything to chance.
