Initially I had given them a bad review because of an issue about an appointment cancelled at the very last moment. But they called me and explained the situation very well. They provided my mother an outstanding customer service.

The nurses and staff are Awesome. My nurse Kathy Brooks is always there when I need her, she returns my calls ASAP. Great place for treatment.

Questions & Answers

I have a spot on my left lung in the upper quadron and the doctors are wanting to do a resection. Is there a possibility of getting the Proton Beam Therapy? One doctor says I am a prime candidate for this. Can you give me more information?

I have to agree , on October 2nd I ended my 45-day IMRT for prostate cancer. When my urologist Mary Ann kenneson in Orange Park got the biopsy results she called Dr. Ackerman directly and I was getting prepped for the PET the same day within hours. The fact is his staff was waiting for me when I got there.

Do they give chemotherapy?

Not the conventional chemotherapy but they do provide proton and radiation. They also do all the tests like MRI's and PET scans and Mammograms. The doctors and nurses are wonderful people. They've never been rude and if they're having a bad day they never show it or take it out on the patients. I've been a patient there for 3 years. I've had the pleasure of meeting all the doctors and they're all great but my favorite is Dr. Perkins, I've had him since day one.

I completed my Proton therapy last week. I am experiencing diarrhea symptoms. Is this a side effect due to the radiation?

Being 4 months ago you should be feeling better. You're not alone during treatment I experience gas and diarrhea. Being less than a week from ending my radiation my symptoms are starting to dissipate.
