Add security Guards in and around that area too...That would be most nice for the people of Newark, NJ to help them feel a little safer when approaching Weequahic Park.

I've been going to weequahic park for over 30 years and it's the very best! Know need for any reason to believe security will make it safer. All it needs is for everyone to look out for everyone we have to police our self

Especially after the two bodies were found in the lake

Anyone interested in putting together a Park Clean up day on a Saturday or Sunday morning in May. Where we can get a group together and start to pick up some of the trash in the park (plastic bottles, etc.) ? Making things better start with each one of us.

I live right across the street from Weequahic Park and spend a lot of time there. I don't think I've ever seen security personnel in the park. You have a good point.

The park is supposed to be monitored by the sheriff dept. I run there when I get a chance an I've seen the sheriff, unmarked and police there on occasions. When I do run, it's during the hour's many other runners run. The park is known for its track that's attractive to runners. I would not go to any park during low traffic hours. If you're a runner its great, but I recommend going during the hours where many other people are out there and during the day only.

I basically grew up in Brick City and Newark over the years Weequahic Park had no day time issues not out right anyway.. Crazy things happen when it gets dark like every else in the World....just enjoy 😊 the Park and all the positive changes that has taken place in the Park and the City😎

The park can use a little more protection....I go oftenand never seen the police...maybe the state and city should try to fund it better.. There is a lot of cleaning to be done..down trree branches.

Way to much polluted by messy people.. what a shame.. not seen any security around nor police . Spooky when walking around and not feeling safe..0
