I recently spoke with a Job recruiter and that was the first question he asked me.
I don't work for the dept of labor but I am an healthcare worker, and yes employers will ask if you have been vaccinated. This is normal to ask, I think that is not against the law because they want to know who is more at risk of getting covid.
