I am not sure but you can ask your landlord to give you a letter stating that your rent is paid every month from the date you started to live there until the last month you have paid.
I've been living in a DHCR apartment for 21years! Since November 4,2020, I've been HARRASSED, BULLIED, INTIMIDATED, called CRAZY ( Due to my mental health conditions) fear MONGERING, stomping, JUMPING, DROPPING heavy objects on MY CEILING at all hours of the day and night just keep getting worse! On the weekends it starts at around 5-6am, until 10-11pm!! Police come and go, emails to Pinnacle management since November 2020,everything I've done, every AGENCY I've contacted simply won't help me! I have been trying to find a LAWEYER since December 2020! No luck with that either! I have an open HPD CASE and a CIVIL CASE also! No legal representation!! I suspect CORRUPTION!! From the highest ranking officials, to the personnel who answer the phones! Landlord wants me to give up my apartment! Tenants above me are being protected by someone! Why else would they act with such IMPUNITY? Not even showing up for court? Not caring about Police coming and going? 311 complaints? Ambulance taking,
You must sign the lease otherwise you may be evicted by the court. However you must read the instructions to Owner and Tenant at the back of the RTP-8 form to know your rights.
That's a very good question. I was not aware it ended. I do IT support for the staff here.
i went 2 weeks ago. The office is NOT open, but they are working remotely. I nust got my rent history last week. Took 2 weeks to come. I requested it online
You can apply online at the DHCR. Depending on the reason
Go on line at the DHCR website.
It's indeed very, very difficult. However, you must continue trying.
Your rent cannot be increased unless you are offered a renewal lease. The owner does not have a case against you. You can file a complaint against the owner using an RA-90 form which is available on the website for Failure to Renew Lease.
You can use the Docket number to search for the status of your case on the DHCR website.
Contact 311 and give them your inspection ticket number to find out what the status is.
1 718-739-6400 this is the number to their office try calling them. Their office is 25 beaver street
Go to 25 beaver St nyc
The purpose of this office location is to provide you with a rent history of your apartment (and possibly the building) where you currently reside. This DHCR facility will not be able to provide you with a copy of your lease. They require a copy of your lease to provide you with the rent history, which may be helpful in defending against rapacious landlord activity against you. Check their website for more information: hcr.ny.gov/tenants Good luck.
Yes it is
Your best option is to go to your local county Civil Court and see the pro se office for forms and other information on how to proceed with an administrative remedy. Be sure to bring copies of all information (including lease, medical records, other evidence, etc) with you. Good luck and I hope you prevail.
No he can't. LL must have sent an offer 90 days prior expiring the current lease following the % increase guidelines of the rent stabilized codes.
I don't think they help you with paying your rent. You need to go to welfare and ask them for 1 shot deal they the ones that can help you.
no he can't
If you're the owner or managing agent, you should send your employee with a letter of authorization from you, copy of MDR, copy of deed, a completed FOIL form and a copy of his/her identification.
You would still have to prove you have resided in the unit for a certain amount of time.
You can call the main office in Jamaica, NY @ (718) 739-6400. Hope this helps.
I don't have an answer for that. Call the office.
It's best to speak to someone in the office.
Yes
You can take a copy of the mci to the dhcr to have proof of the increase and add it to the consecutive months of the rent and theeeen add the % increase to the total. Keep copies of the totals to all apartments in case of a claim. Since the completion of the mci, the increase should have been added. Not sure if you can charge the past years, but you can on the current.
You can bring a copy of your leases to their offices and ask them. They are very knowledgeable on this topic
